Margo has performed at my workshops several times and taught a two-day workshop. Also, I referred her to a friend of mine who sponsors workshops. I had nothing but raves about her teaching and my friend reported the same. Her personal warmth engages the students and her clear explanations make the choreography accessible to everyone. Her Oriental dance performance was exciting. The teaching and performance inspired one of my students to decide to pursue a career in Oriental dance. In addition, she performed an highly successful interpretive piece that explored emotions that were both subtle and deep. Her command of dance technique coupled with her background in Lebanese culture provide a solid foundation for teaching Danse Orientale. My students found her technique to be impeccable, very clean and precise. She was easy to watch and learn from. Margo Abdo O'Dell is every workshop attendee and sponsor's dream come true. Workshop students will find a very knowledgeable, patient teacher waiting for them. They will experience a challenging, fun-filled class where a sense of cooperation abounds. Students will leave class with some wonderful new combinations and/or a very useful piece of choreography. Students will leave class energized and inspired not feeling like someone beat them! Sponsors will find Margo to be a responsive professional. They will receive prompt responses to their communications with her and will undoubtedly witness all of the instruction they requested being carried-out. Anyone who chooses to promote a gala show will have the great pleasure to showcase an incredible performer. Audience members, with and without Middle Eastern dance experience, told me they could have watched Margo dance all night. Her choice of technique and her pleasant demeanor really captures the essence of her chosen music. I say all of these things from personal experience both as a repeat workshop attendee and a workshop sponsor. Even a year later, I still have people who attended the workshop I sponsored tell me how much they enjoyed it. I say run don't walk and invite her to teach a workshop in your area. Fikriyyah

As seminar sponsors who have sponsored dance artists of varying styles for the last seventeen years, we are always looking for artists who have a wealth of knowledge, who are able to teach well, and who are organized and good to work with. We have found such a person in Margo Abdo O'Dell. As a teacher, Margo has a wide range of knowledge in this dance and also brings a wealth of theatrical experience with her. Margo has a warm personality and keen sense of humor, which helps put participants at ease. Her use of music is excellent, as is her theatrical and stirring choreography. Anyone who has a chance to sponsor Margo Abdo O'Dell or to study under her, please do and you will be very happy that you did. Not only does she have an extensive level of knowledge in this dance and theater, she also has a great desire to share her knowledge with anyone who studies with her. As a performer, she is truly "A Dancer's Dancer", a dancer that can do it all, as she is adept with different styles of dance and music. She has wonderful and controlled movements. She has graceful and fluid control of her arms, hands, torso and hips, and her movements can be deliberate and dynamic, or fast and exciting - depending on the mood that she wants to portray. Margo is truly a courageous artist who was one of the few people who flew mid October 2001 to teach an out of state seminar. Not only is she a superb, articulate teacher but also a talented dancer who exudes passion; the audience loved her performances. The seminar participants responded to her drills that not only covered space but also helped them develop an attitude that made them feel like dancers. Margo immediately puts everyone at ease with her wit, charm and grace. I feel blessed to have met this lovely lady. Zahara Kasmir,

I observe Margo to be a very knowledgeable, thorough, patient and fun instructor. Her show performance was excellent - the best. Her video, Tajdeed, is the best performance video I have ever seen, and I've seen lots! Esther Gengler

I have been a workshop sponsor for the last 20 years and was the first sponsor to have Margo teach a workshop in 1997. Since then she has been back several times. She always has new moves and techniques to teach and she breaks it down so the beginners can catch on to the moves also. She explains things very well and for me always has notes to hand out and go over at the end of the day so the new dancers can catch on more readily.I have considered Margo a good friend from our first business dealings. If you are looking for an excellent teacher that cares about her teaching and students, Margo is certainly a must. Judy Cunningham
