Whether it be a better table at a restaurant, help with housework or a raise at work, an inability to assert oneself can have limiting and long-lasting negative consequences. This workshop examines five barriers preventing women from asserting their wants and needs, including fear and low self esteem. It also provides tips and techniques that empower you to improve your personal and business relationships and maximize your skills, talents and opportunities De-cide to De-stress Many women report the benefits of becoming more physically active include reduced stress, improved mood and a sense of balance in their lives. As important is the medical evidence showing physical activity can reduce many health problems we face including heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and osteoporosis. The good news is that its never too late to create a personal regimin that meets your needs. In this workshop we will take time to look at the research as well as be active. We will begin with stretching, then discuss practical and realistic suggestions for fitting physical activity into your busy life. We'll end with fun, feminine dance moves to get the heart pumping and the spirit soaring. Come to this workshop in comfortable clothes. This workshop is appropriate for women of all ages and levels of fitness. Something in the Way She Moves Who is under that finely polished businesswoman exterior? Step out of your head and enter this session to explore various methods of connecting body and mind to achieve maximum authenticity and personal success. From the importance of body language, to improving presence, to controlling anxiety, we'll use movement and other techniques to just plain feel better about your whole self. Leave your inhibitions at the door. Love Your Hips - Middle Eastern dancing is an ancient art rooted in the female tradition that celebrates our identity as women and our womanly bodies. Long before we learned to hate our bodies, starve them into submission and exercise them into definitions given to us by fashion magazines, female curves were celebrated and even worshipped. Margo demonstrates this beautiful art and provides thought provoking lessons about self acceptance, recognizing your dreams and living your passions. |
